Are you internally motivated or externally motivated?

I found out that many people are externally motivated and because of this, their motivation does not last.

What do I mean? One day, I posted online earnings on my WhatsApp status and a few came inbox to ask me "how do I make money online".

Some of them got started because of the money they saw but didn’t last in the business. The reason is simple, they thought making such an amount of money is simply because we call it online business.

They are purely motivated by what they see not their internal needs. Am I saying it's wrong to see earning prove and want to make such an amount of money? I am also saying it's wrong to be externally motivated? No, that is not my point.

I am trying to show you why many people just cannot make the amount of money they wanted to make.

Who are those externally motivated? These are people that are driven by external factors only. When they see people make money, they want to make money. When they see someone driving a good car, they want to drive a good car.

When they see a lifestyle higher than theirs, they just want it instantly.

Many times, what they want keeps changing because they will soon see something new that will arouse their interest.

There are like a thermometer, they adjust to external temperature all the time.

On the other hand, there is this kind of people that are motivated from the inside.

They already know what they want and constantly look for an opportunity to meet their needs. They already know the kind of lifestyle they want, the kind of car they want to drive, parts of the world they want to travel to, etc.

Many of them may not have found how to meet all these numerous needs but are constantly searching for the best way to legitimately meet them.

When people like this meet an opportunity that can help them meet their needs, they give it all it takes to be successful. They don't look back because they are inwardly motivated.

They are hungry for an opportunity that will help them meet their needs.

You don't have to preach too much to convince them to take up an opportunity that they know will help.

Since they have an inward propeller, they are stable in motivation. Sometimes, when their desire is delayed, they hold on a little more because of their inward drive.

They don't do things because they see others doing the same thing, they engage with things because of an inward drive. Does it mean they don't get motivated by external factors?

They do, but they will always tight any external motivation to their internal reason for doing something.

So, the BIG question now is, are you internally motivated or you are externally motivated?
